The Beauty & The Beast of Re-organization
The beauty of re-organization, whether it’s in your personal or your professional life, is that you have a whole bunch of new WHATs to work on; the beast of re-organization is that we typically drag along our old HOWs with us, including those that haven’t been working too well.
The point of coaching is to provide a sounding board, and a supportive guidance system, to re-examine how you currently are in the world and how you would like to be to better serve your long-term personal and professional objectives:
- How do you process information?
- How do you translate that information to knowledge?
- How do you communicate that knowledge, and your personal insights, back out to the world?
- How do you enroll others in your vision?
As your coach I will not become your expert, priest or critic. This process is not about getting the answers as much as it is about finding the right questions which then lead to a change in your thinking, your actions, and the results you are getting in the world around you. Coaching is a guided introspective exercise that gives you the opportunity to stretch and grow in new ways. The assets of our coaching relationship will include: trust, communication, insight, experience, and the thoughtful expanding of your comfort zone - all of which lead to improved performance.
Coaching is most effective during times of rapid change because people are stressed (both positively and negatively) and seem to be most open to tossing out old paradigms and belief systems that are getting in the way of new ideas.
